To improve battery life, reduce screen brightness, disable unused hardware like Bluetooth, manage your startup programs, and use the Power Saver mode in Windows. Regularly updating your software and drivers can also help.
Ensure that the laptop's vents are not blocked and clean them regularly. Use a cooling pad, and avoid placing the laptop on soft surfaces. You can also check for resource-heavy applications running in the background and close them.
First, power off the laptop and remove the battery. Unscrew the RAM cover on the bottom of the laptop. Carefully insert the new RAM module into the slot at a 45-degree angle, then press down until it clicks into place. Reassemble the laptop and power it on to check if the RAM is recognized.
Your laptop may run slow due to insufficient RAM, a cluttered hard drive, or too many startup programs. Consider upgrading RAM, cleaning up disk space, and disabling unnecessary startup applications. Running a virus scan and updating drivers can also help.
To reset to factory settings, restart the laptop and press F9 during bootup. Select the "Recover Windows to first partition only" option and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure to back up important data before proceeding.
Regularly clean the keyboard and vents, update software and drivers, run disk cleanup and defragmentation, and use a surge protector. Keep the laptop in a cool, dry place and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures.
Click the network icon on the taskbar, select your Wi-Fi network, and click 'Connect'. Enter the password if prompted. Ensure the Wi-Fi is enabled by checking the physical switch or function key combination (usually Fn + F2).
Check the power adapter and cable for damage. Ensure the power outlet is working. Try a different power outlet or adapter if available. Remove the battery and hold the power button for 30 seconds before reinserting it. If the problem persists, the battery or adapter may need replacement.
Ensure that your graphics drivers are up-to-date, lower in-game settings, close unnecessary background applications, and use Game Mode in Windows. Consider upgrading the RAM or storage to an SSD for faster loading times.
Visit the ASUS support website and download the latest BIOS update for your model. Ensure your laptop is plugged in, then run the BIOS update utility and follow the on-screen instructions carefully. Do not power off the laptop during the update process.
