To perform a factory reset on the ASUS PV100A, restart the computer and press F9 during boot to access the recovery partition. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore the system to factory settings. Make sure to back up important data before proceeding.
Download the latest BIOS update from the ASUS support website. Copy the BIOS file to a USB drive. Restart the computer and enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2. Use the EZ Flash utility to select the BIOS file from the USB drive and update.
First, check the power supply and connections. Remove any external devices and perform a hard reset by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds. If the issue persists, try booting into Safe Mode or using the recovery options.
Ensure that the vents are not blocked and clean any dust from the fans and heatsinks. Use the ASUS Fan Xpert utility to adjust fan speeds. If overheating continues, consider reapplying thermal paste or checking if the cooling system is malfunctioning.
Check the display cable connections and ensure that the graphics driver is up-to-date. Adjust the refresh rate settings in the display properties. If the problem persists, test with an external monitor to rule out hardware issues.
Turn off the computer and disconnect all cables. Open the bottom panel by removing the screws. Carefully insert the new RAM module into the slot at a 45-degree angle and press it down until it clicks into place. Reassemble and power on the computer.
Turn off the computer and unplug it. Use compressed air to blow out debris from between the keys. For deeper cleaning, lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe the keys. Avoid excessive moisture.
Adjust power settings to 'Power Saver' mode and reduce screen brightness. Close unnecessary background applications and use battery health charging modes if available. Regularly calibrate the battery by fully charging and discharging it once a month.
Ensure that the air vents are clear and clean any dust buildup. Use the ASUS Fan Xpert tool to adjust fan profiles for quieter operation. If noise persists, check for loose screws or consider replacing the fans if they are worn out.
Connect the external monitor to the HDMI or VGA port. Use the 'Windows + P' shortcut to select the display mode: Duplicate, Extend, or Second screen only. Adjust resolution settings if necessary in the display settings.
