Use the ASUS EZ Flash utility to select the BIOS file from your USB drive and follow the on-screen instructions to update.
Ensure that the power supply is connected properly to the motherboard and that it is turned on. Check all power connectors, including the 24-pin ATX and 4-pin CPU power connectors. Also, inspect the RAM and CPU for proper seating and look for any visible damage or loose connections.
To reset the BIOS settings, turn off your computer and unplug the power cable. Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard and remove it for a few minutes. Reinsert the battery, reconnect the power cable, and power on the system. Alternatively, use the CLRTC jumper to reset the BIOS.
First, ensure that all RAM sticks are properly seated in the DIMM slots. Try testing each RAM stick individually in each slot to rule out a faulty module or slot. Also, check if the RAM is compatible with the motherboard and consider updating the BIOS to the latest version, which may improve memory compatibility.
The ASUS P8H61-M PLUS motherboard does not support overclocking due to the H61 chipset limitations. For performance improvements, ensure that your system settings are optimized, such as enabling XMP for memory and ensuring all components are running at their rated specifications.
Verify that the monitor is connected to the correct video output port. If using a dedicated graphics card, ensure that the card is properly seated and that power connectors are attached. Check BIOS settings to ensure the correct graphics adapter is selected. Also, test with a different cable or monitor if possible.
Insert the installation media (USB or DVD) into your computer and power it on. Enter the BIOS setup by pressing 'DEL' during boot, set the boot priority to your installation media, and save the changes. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the OS installation.
Ensure that the USB ports are enabled in the BIOS settings and that the USB drivers are correctly installed in the operating system. Check if the ports are physically damaged and test with different USB devices. If the issue persists, consider updating the BIOS and chipset drivers.
Enter the BIOS setup by pressing 'DEL' during boot. Navigate to the 'Advanced' tab, then 'CPU Configuration', and enable 'Intel Virtualization Technology'. Save and exit the BIOS to apply the changes.
