The ASUS P5SD2-VM motherboard supports DDR2 RAM, with a maximum capacity of 4GB across two DIMM slots. It supports DDR2 533/400 MHz memory modules.
To update the BIOS, download the latest BIOS file from the ASUS support website, create a bootable USB drive with the file, and use the BIOS update utility within the BIOS setup menu to perform the update.
Check if all power connections are secure, ensure RAM and other components are properly seated, reset the CMOS by removing the battery for a few minutes, and test with minimal components to identify the issue.
Enter the BIOS setup by pressing the "Del" key during boot, navigate to the "Advanced" tab, find the "CPU Configuration" section, and enable the "Intel Virtualization Technology" option.
The ASUS P5SD2-VM supports Intel Pentium 4, Pentium D, and Celeron D processors with LGA 775 sockets. Check the ASUS website for a complete list of compatible CPUs.
Check if USB ports are enabled in BIOS, update USB drivers via the Device Manager, test with different USB devices, and inspect the ports for physical damage.
Locate the front panel audio header on the motherboard, refer to the motherboard manual for pin layout, and connect the audio cable from the case to the header according to the pin configuration.
Power off and disconnect the system, use compressed air to remove dust, gently wipe surfaces with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid using liquids or abrasive materials on the motherboard.
Enter the BIOS setup, navigate to the "Advanced" tab, select "SATA Configuration," choose RAID mode, save changes, and use the RAID configuration utility during boot to set up the array.
Ensure the SATA cables are securely connected, check BIOS settings to ensure the drive is recognized, try different SATA ports, and verify the hard drive is functioning by testing it in another system.
