To update the BIOS, download the latest BIOS file from the ASUS support website. Then, use the ASUS EZ Flash utility found in the BIOS setup menu to apply the update. Ensure the PC remains powered during the update to avoid corruption.
The motherboard supports DDR2 memory, with a maximum capacity of 16GB across 4 DIMM slots. Supported speeds include 1066(O.C.), 800, and 667 MHz.
Ensure all power cables are connected, reseat memory and graphics card, and reset CMOS. If the issue persists, test components in another system to isolate the faulty part.
Enter the BIOS setup, navigate to the Advanced menu, and set the SATA configuration to RAID. Save changes and restart. Use the RAID setup utility that appears during boot to configure your RAID array.
Check speaker connections and volume settings. Use the Sound settings in Windows to ensure the correct playback device is selected. Run the ASUS audio diagnostic tool provided on the driver CD.
Check if USB ports are enabled in the BIOS. Try different ports and verify with another known working USB device. Update the USB drivers from the ASUS support website.
To clear the CMOS, power off the system and unplug it. Locate the CMOS jumper near the battery, move the jumper from its default position to the clear position for a few seconds, then return it. Power the system back on.
The board has three PCIe x16 slots, supporting NVIDIA 3-Way SLI. The slots run at x16/x8/x8 when 3-Way SLI is enabled. Ensure the graphics card is properly seated and secured.
Ensure all case fans are functional and properly oriented for optimal airflow. Apply thermal paste correctly on the CPU, and consider upgrading to aftermarket coolers for better heat dissipation.
