To update the BIOS, download the latest BIOS file from the ASUS support website, extract it to a USB drive, and use the EZ Flash utility in the BIOS to apply the update.
Check all power connections, ensure the power supply is functioning, and verify that the RAM and CPU are properly seated. If the problem persists, try resetting the CMOS.
Enter the BIOS setup, go to the Ai Tweaker tab, and set the XMP profile to enable your RAM's advertised speed and timings.
The ASUS H81M-F PLUS motherboard supports up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM across two DIMM slots.
Refer to the motherboard manual for the layout of the front panel header, and connect the power switch, reset switch, HDD LED, and power LED cables accordingly.
Ensure the monitor is connected to the correct port, check the graphics card if present, and verify that the RAM and CPU are properly installed.
The ASUS H81M-F PLUS does not have an M.2 slot, but you can use a PCIe adapter to install an M.2 SSD.
To reset the BIOS, you can either remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes or use the CLRTC jumper to clear the CMOS settings.
