To set up your ASUS EA-N66 router, connect it to your modem and PC, open a web browser, and enter 'http://192.168.1.1' in the address bar. Login with default credentials, and follow the Quick Internet Setup wizard.
If you forget your router password, you can reset the router to factory settings by pressing and holding the reset button for 5-10 seconds. This will restore the default login credentials.
To update firmware, download the latest version from the ASUS support website. Access the router settings via a web browser, navigate to Administration > Firmware Upgrade, and upload the downloaded file.
Ensure all cables are connected properly. Restart your modem and router. Check the WAN settings in the router configuration page to ensure they match your ISP's requirements.
