To reset the NVRAM, shut down your Mac. Then, turn it on and immediately press and hold Option, Command, P, and R for about 20 seconds. Release the keys after you hear the startup sound twice.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaner. Avoid using bleach or hydrogen peroxide-based cleaners. Gently wipe the screen to avoid scratching.
Click on the Apple menu, select 'About This Mac', then 'System Report'. Under 'Hardware', select 'Power'. Here you can view the battery health information, including cycle count and condition.
Check for excessive CPU usage in Activity Monitor, close unnecessary applications, ensure there is sufficient free disk space, and consider resetting the SMC if problems persist.
The Touch Bar should be enabled by default. To customize it, go to 'System Preferences', click on 'Keyboard', then 'Customize Control Strip' to add or remove functions.
Ensure it's connected to power, perform an SMC reset, and try booting in Safe Mode. If these steps don't work, contact Apple Support for further assistance.
Use Time Machine, which is built into macOS. Connect an external hard drive, select it as your backup disk in Time Machine preferences, and let it automatically back up your data.
Click on the Apple menu, select 'System Preferences', then 'Software Update'. If an update is available, click 'Update Now' and follow the on-screen instructions.
Use a USB-C to HDMI or USB-C to DisplayPort adapter, depending on your monitor. Connect the adapter to one of the MacBook's Thunderbolt 3 ports and the other end to the monitor.
Check for debris under the keys, restart your Mac, reset the SMC, and ensure your macOS is up to date. If the issue persists, consider contacting Apple Support.
