To reset the SMC, shut down your MacBook, plug in the power adapter, press Shift + Control + Option on the left side and the power button simultaneously for 10 seconds, then release all keys and turn on your MacBook.
Check for software updates, close unnecessary applications, clear cache files, and consider upgrading your RAM or storage space. Also, run Disk Utility to check for any disk errors.
Reduce screen brightness, turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use, close background apps, and enable battery-saving settings in System Preferences.
Use a compatible USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA adapter to connect your MacBook to the external display. Then, configure display settings in System Preferences under Displays.
Check the power connection, perform an SMC reset, try a safe boot by holding Shift during startup, and run Apple Diagnostics by pressing D during startup.
Back up your data, create a bootable macOS installer on a USB drive, restart your MacBook while holding Option, select the installer, and follow the on-screen prompts to erase the disk and install macOS.
Clean the keyboard using compressed air, check for software updates, reset the SMC and NVRAM, and if the problem persists, contact Apple Support for service options.
Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > FileVault, click the lock to make changes, enter your administrator password, and click Turn On FileVault to encrypt your startup disk.
Delete unnecessary files, empty the Trash, uninstall unused applications, use storage management tools in macOS, and consider using cloud storage solutions.
Open System Preferences, click on Software Update, and if an update is available, click Update Now. Ensure your MacBook is connected to power and has a stable internet connection during the update process.
