To reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac mini, Mid 2010, shut down your computer. Unplug the power cord and wait for 15 seconds. Then, plug the power cord back in, wait for 5 seconds, and turn on your Mac mini.
The Mac mini, Mid 2010 can support up to 16GB of RAM. It has two memory slots that can each hold up to 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM.
