To adjust the temperature settings, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator compartment. Use the up and down arrows to select the desired temperature. The recommended setting is 37°F for the refrigerator and 0°F for the freezer.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure the vents inside the refrigerator are not blocked by food items. Clean the condenser coils at the back or bottom of the unit. If the problem persists, consider contacting a technician.
The Vedette RBS438 features an automatic defrost system. However, if you notice excessive frost buildup, manually defrost the freezer by unplugging the refrigerator and allowing it to thaw completely before cleaning.
Water pooling can be caused by a blocked defrost drain. Clean the drain located at the back of the refrigerator by flushing it with warm water or using a pipe cleaner to remove any blockages.
To change the light bulb, first unplug the refrigerator. Locate the light cover inside the compartment and remove it by turning counterclockwise. Replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage, then secure the cover back in place.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the condenser coils every six months, checking and replacing door seals if necessary, and ensuring the interior is clean and free from spills.
To reset the ice maker, turn off the ice maker by lifting the metal arm. Wait for a few minutes and then lower the arm to restart it. Ensure the water supply line is open and not kinked.
Unusual noises may be due to the refrigerator not being level, items inside vibrating against each other, or the compressor starting and stopping. Ensure the unit is on a stable surface and check inside for any items that might be causing noise.
The Vedette RBS438 typically uses a replaceable water filter rather than a cleanable one. Refer to your user manual for the location of the filter and replace it every six months or as needed.
Check for any obstructions or food items preventing the doors from closing. Inspect the door seals for damage or dirt and clean them with warm, soapy water. Adjust the leveling feet to ensure the refrigerator is balanced.
