To reset the Sandstrom SDWTTB14E dishwasher, press and hold the start button for about 3 seconds until the display clears. This will reset the dishwasher to its default settings.
Check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Also, ensure that the sink's drain is not clogged. Clean the filter inside the dishwasher as debris can prevent proper drainage.
To clean the filter, remove the lower dish rack and locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. Twist the filter counterclockwise to remove it, then rinse it under running water to remove any debris.
Spots on dishes may be due to hard water. Ensure you are using a rinse aid, and check that the water softener setting is adjusted according to your water hardness level.
Place larger items like pots and pans in the bottom rack facing downwards. Use the top rack for smaller items like cups and glasses. Ensure that items do not block the spray arms.
Check that the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. If the problem persists, consult the user manual.
It is recommended to clean the spray arms every few months. Remove them and rinse under running water, using a toothpick to clear any clogged holes.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean the spray arms, wipe down the door seals, and run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner to maintain optimal performance.
Unusual noises can be caused by items touching the spray arms or dishes not being securely placed. Ensure dishes are properly loaded and check for foreign objects in the dishwasher.
Inspect the door seal for damage or debris. Ensure the dishwasher is level and that the detergent drawer is not overfilled. If the issue continues, seek professional assistance.
