To set up the Sandstrom SAC12C22G Air Conditioner, first unbox the unit and install the exhaust hose. Plug the air conditioner into a power outlet, and use the remote or control panel to select the desired mode and temperature. Ensure the unit is placed near a window for proper ventilation.
If the air conditioner does not start, check that it is properly plugged in and the power outlet is functional. Ensure the power cord is not damaged. Verify that the remote control has working batteries and the unit is not in a timer mode that delays start-up.
To clean the filters, first turn off and unplug the air conditioner. Remove the filters from the unit, then wash them with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling. Regular cleaning is recommended every two weeks for optimal performance.
If the air conditioner is not cooling properly, ensure the temperature setting is correct and the mode is set to 'Cool'. Check for any obstructions in the airflow or blockages in the exhaust hose. Clean the filters, and make sure doors and windows are closed to prevent warm air from entering the room.
To reset the air conditioner, turn it off and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about five minutes before plugging it back in. This allows the internal components to reset, which can resolve minor issues.
It is not recommended to use the Sandstrom SAC12C22G Air Conditioner in a room without windows as the unit requires proper ventilation for the exhaust hose. Without ventilation, the unit cannot expel hot air, reducing efficiency and potentially causing overheating.
To set the timer, press the 'Timer' button on the remote control. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to set the desired time for the air conditioner to turn on or off automatically. Confirm the timer setting by pressing the 'Timer' button again.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filters every two weeks, checking the exhaust hose for blockages, and ensuring the unit is dust-free. At the end of the cooling season, store the unit in a dry place after thoroughly cleaning and drying it.
To drain water, locate the drain plug at the back or bottom of the unit. Place a container underneath, remove the plug, and allow the water to drain completely. Reinsert the plug securely after draining. This process should be done periodically or if an error indicates high water levels.
If the remote control is not working, first check and replace the batteries if necessary. Ensure there are no obstacles between the remote and the air conditioner. Try resetting the remote by removing the batteries for a few minutes before reinserting them.
