To set up the Sandstrom SAC12C21E, place the unit on a flat surface and attach the exhaust hose to the back of the unit. Position the other end of the hose out a window. Plug in the unit, and use the control panel to select the desired mode and temperature.
Ensure that all windows and doors are closed to maintain the cool environment. Check the air filter for blockages and clean it if necessary. Verify that the exhaust hose is not kinked or blocked and that the unit is set to the correct mode and temperature.
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks to maintain optimal performance. Remove the filter, wash it with warm water and mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Before storing the unit, ensure it is completely dry to prevent mold growth. Clean the air filter and exhaust hose. Store the unit in a cool, dry place and cover it to protect against dust.
A gurgling noise is typically caused by refrigerant moving through the coils. This is normal, but if the noise is excessive, ensure the unit is on a level surface and check for loose parts.
To improve energy efficiency, keep doors and windows sealed, use the programmable timer to operate the unit only when needed, and maintain regular cleaning of filters.
Refer to the user manual to identify the error code and follow the troubleshooting steps provided. If the issue persists, contact customer support for assistance.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the air conditioner. If necessary, use a heavy-duty extension cord rated for the unit’s power requirements and ensure it is properly grounded.
To drain the water, turn off the unit and unplug it. Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the back panel, remove it, and allow the water to drain into a suitable container. Replace the plug when finished.
The Sandstrom SAC12C21E offers several modes, including Cool, Fan, Dry, and Sleep modes, to provide versatile climate control options. Each mode can be adjusted using the control panel or remote control.
