To descale your Nespresso Citiz, fill the water tank with a descaling solution and water. Turn on the machine, place a container under the coffee outlet, and press both buttons simultaneously for three seconds to start the descaling mode. Follow the rinse and cleaning process as instructed.
If your Nespresso Citiz is not brewing, check if the water tank is empty, the capsule is inserted correctly, or the machine needs descaling. Additionally, ensure the machine is properly warmed up by allowing it to heat until the lights stop blinking.
To reset your Nespresso Citiz to factory settings, turn off the machine. Press and hold the Lungo button while turning the machine on. Release the button when the lights start blinking.
If your Nespresso Citiz leaks water, check that the water tank is correctly positioned and not cracked. Also, inspect the capsule holder to ensure it’s clean and seated properly. If necessary, contact Nespresso support for further assistance.
It is recommended to clean your Nespresso Citiz machine after each use by removing and rinsing the drip tray and capsule container. Descale the machine every three months or after 300 capsules to ensure optimal performance.
For best results, use fresh and filtered water in your Nespresso Citiz machine. Avoid using distilled or mineral-heavy water, as it may affect the taste of your coffee and the longevity of the machine.
A blinking light on your Nespresso Citiz usually indicates that the machine is heating up or requires descaling. If descaling is needed, follow the descaling instructions in the user manual.
While third-party capsules can often be used with the Nespresso Citiz, it's recommended to use official Nespresso capsules to ensure compatibility and prevent potential damage to the machine.
The Nespresso Citiz automatically enters energy-saving mode after 9 minutes of inactivity, reducing energy consumption. This time can be extended to 30 minutes by following the instructions in the user manual.
To adjust the cup size on your Nespresso Citiz, press and hold the Espresso or Lungo button until the desired amount of coffee is dispensed, then release the button. The machine will save this volume for future uses.
