To reset your Hotpoint dishwasher, press and hold the start/reset button for about 5 seconds until the indicator light turns off. This will reset the dishwasher's settings.
Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or blocked. Check the filter and remove any debris. If the problem persists, the drain pump may need to be inspected or replaced.
Open the dishwasher and remove the bottom rack. Twist the filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse it under running water to remove debris and then reinstall it by twisting clockwise.
Error code F15 indicates a problem with the heating element. Check the element for continuity and inspect the wiring connections. If necessary, replace the heating element.
Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack and smaller items like cups and glasses on the top rack. Ensure that items do not block the spray arms.
Regularly clean the filter, check and clean the spray arms, wipe down the door seals, and run an empty cycle with dishwasher cleaner to prevent buildup.
Unusual noises could be caused by items obstructing the spray arms or a clogged filter. Check both and ensure everything is clear. If noises persist, inspect the motor and pump.
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is filled, use a high-quality detergent, and choose a cycle with a drying option. Also, leave the door slightly open after the cycle to air dry.
Check that the water supply valve is open and not blocked. Inspect the inlet hose for kinks and ensure the float switch is not stuck. If the issue continues, the inlet valve might need replacement.
Clean the spray arms every 3-6 months. Remove them and rinse under running water, using a toothpick to clear any blocked holes. Reinstall them securely.
