To start a wash cycle, first load your laundry into the drum and close the door securely. Select the desired wash program using the control dial. Adjust any settings such as temperature or spin speed, then press the 'Start' button to begin the cycle.
If the washer does not start, ensure it is plugged in and the power is on. Check that the door is closed properly and the 'Start' button has been pressed. Also, verify that the water supply is turned on and there are no error codes displayed.
Remove the detergent drawer by pulling it out until it stops, then press down on the release lever to remove it completely. Wash the drawer with warm water to remove any detergent residue. Dry it thoroughly before reinserting.
Regularly clean the detergent drawer and the rubber door seal. Run an empty hot wash cycle with vinegar or a washing machine cleaner monthly to prevent limescale buildup. Check and clean the filter located at the bottom of the machine every few months.
Ensure the washer is level by adjusting its feet. Make sure the laundry load is balanced inside the drum. Avoid overloading the machine and distribute clothes evenly. Check that transport bolts have been removed if the machine is newly installed.
Run an empty cycle with hot water and a cup of white vinegar or a specialized drum cleaner to remove any residue or odors. Wipe down the inside of the drum with a soft cloth after the cycle.
Check the door seal for any damage or debris that might prevent a proper seal. Inspect hoses for any cracks or loose connections. Ensure the detergent drawer is not overfilled, which can lead to leaks.
Check for blockages in the drain hose and ensure it is not kinked. Clean the filter located at the bottom front of the machine, as a clogged filter can prevent proper drainage.
To reset the washing machine, turn the dial to the off position, then unplug the machine from the power outlet. Wait a few minutes before plugging it back in and restarting the desired wash program.
Consult the manual to identify the error code and follow the recommended troubleshooting steps. Error codes usually indicate specific issues such as water supply problems, drainage issues, or door lock malfunctions.
