Gradall 534C-9 Lubrication Manual

Ensure the forklift is on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and place the transmission in neutral. Turn the ignition key to the "Start" position and release it once the engine starts. Allow the engine to warm up before operating.
Regular maintenance includes checking fluid levels (engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant), inspecting tire pressure and condition, examining the brake system, and ensuring all lights and signals are operational.
Check for hydraulic fluid leaks, ensure the hydraulic fluid level is adequate, inspect hoses and connections for wear or damage, and verify that the hydraulic filter is not clogged.
Common causes include a dead battery, faulty starter motor, clogged fuel filter, or issues with the ignition switch. Ensure the battery is charged and connections are clean and tight.
To change the oil, warm up the engine, turn it off, and remove the oil drain plug to drain the old oil. Replace the oil filter, reattach the drain plug, and fill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Stop the forklift immediately to prevent engine damage. Check the coolant level and refill if necessary. Inspect the radiator and hoses for leaks or obstructions. Ensure the fan is functioning properly.
Maintain proper tire inflation, adhere to scheduled maintenance, avoid excessive idling, and operate the forklift at optimal speeds and loads.
Conduct a visual inspection for any damage, check that all controls are functioning correctly, ensure the seatbelt is operational, and verify that the load capacity is not exceeded.
To adjust the forks, lower them to the ground, release the locking pins, slide the forks to the desired width, and re-engage the locking pins securely.
Clean the forklift thoroughly, perform all necessary maintenance, disconnect the battery, and store the forklift in a dry, sheltered area. Cover the forklift to protect it from dust and debris.
