To change the paper roll, first remove the old roll by gently pulling it out. Insert the new roll into the paper holder with the end of the paper feeding from the bottom. Thread the paper through the printing mechanism and press the feed button to advance it.
If the display is not turning on, check the power supply first. Ensure that the calculator is plugged into an outlet, and verify that the power switch is in the 'ON' position. If using batteries, ensure they are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge.
To clear all entries, press the 'C/CE' button twice. This will clear any current operations and reset the display.
Faint printing can be due to an old or depleted ink ribbon. Replace the ribbon cartridge by opening the printer cover, removing the old ribbon, and installing a new one. Ensure it's aligned correctly for optimal printing.
To perform an addition, enter the first number, press the '+', enter the second number, and then press the '=' button to get the result.
The 'GT' or Grand Total button sums up all totals accumulated during multiple calculations. Pressing it will display the grand total of all calculations made since the last reset.
To fix paper jams, turn off the calculator and gently pull out the paper from the printing mechanism. Ensure the paper is not torn. Reload the paper correctly, and use the feed button to check for smooth operation.
The Canon CP1200D does not have an adjustable print speed. It is pre-configured for optimal performance. Ensure the ink ribbon and paper are correctly installed for the best printing results.
To replace the ink ribbon, open the printer cover, remove the old ribbon by lifting it out, and install a new ribbon cartridge. Ensure it is properly aligned and taut before closing the cover.
Unusual noises could indicate a mechanical issue. Check for any obstructions in the paper feed or printer mechanism. Ensure the ink ribbon is installed correctly and that no parts are loose. If the noise persists, consult the user manual or contact Canon support.
