To set up the Brother NC-100h Network, first connect the print server to your network using an Ethernet cable. Then, use the installation CD to run the setup wizard on your computer, which will guide you through the configuration process.
Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the print server and the network router. Check that the network settings are correctly configured. Restart the print server and router if necessary.
To reset the Brother NC-100h, locate the reset button on the device. Press and hold the button for about 5 seconds until the indicator lights flash. This will restore the device to its factory default settings.
Visit the Brother support website and download the latest firmware for the NC-100h. Use the firmware update tool provided to upload and install the firmware onto your device. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
Check if the printer is properly connected to the NC-100h and that the device is powered on. Ensure the correct printer driver is installed on your computer and that it is set as the default printer. Verify network connectivity and IP settings.
The Brother NC-100h is designed to support a single printer connection at a time. If you need to connect multiple printers, consider using additional print servers or a different network solution.
Routinely check the device for dust and clean it with a dry cloth. Ensure that all cables and connections are secure. Regularly update the firmware to ensure optimal performance.
Access the device's settings via the web-based interface by entering its current IP address in a browser. Navigate to the network settings section and manually enter the desired static IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. Save the changes.
The Brother NC-100h is primarily designed for wired Ethernet connections. To connect wirelessly, you may need a wireless bridge or a compatible wireless router setup.
Ensure that ports 161 (SNMP) and 9100 (RAW) are open on your firewall for the print server to communicate effectively with your network. Adjust firewall settings if necessary.
