To connect your Brother MFC-J280W printer to a wireless network, press the Menu button on the printer, navigate to Network, choose WLAN, and then select Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter the password.
Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the same network as your computer. Check for any error messages on the printer display. Verify that there is enough paper and ink. If the problem persists, try restarting your printer and computer.
To clean the print head, press the Ink button on the printer, select Cleaning, and choose All or a specific color. The printer will perform a cleaning cycle to improve print quality.
Open the ink cartridge cover, press the release lever to remove the empty cartridge, and unpack the new cartridge. Insert it into the corresponding slot until it clicks into place, then close the ink cartridge cover.
Place the document on the scanner glass, open the Control Center on your computer, select the scan option, and choose your desired scan settings. Press the Start button on the printer to initiate the scan.
Visit the Brother support website, download the latest firmware update for the MFC-J280W, and follow the provided instructions to install it on your printer. Ensure the printer is connected to your computer during the update process.
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Carefully remove any jammed paper from the paper tray and inside the printer. Ensure no pieces are left behind, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
To enable duplex printing, open the printer's properties dialog on your computer, go to the Printing Preferences section, and select the option for two-sided or duplex printing. Adjust settings as needed before printing.
Ensure the ink cartridges are not empty and are installed correctly. Perform a print head cleaning cycle and check that the paper size and type settings match the paper loaded in the tray.
Press the Menu button, navigate to Network, and select Network Reset. Confirm the reset when prompted. This will restore all network settings to their factory defaults.
