If your Brother IntelliFAX-2820 is not sending faxes, ensure that the phone line is properly connected to the Line jack and not the Extension jack. Check for any error messages on the device display, and confirm that the dial tone is present. Additionally, make sure the recipient's fax machine is turned on and working correctly.
To resolve paper jam issues, first, turn off the device and unplug it. Then, gently remove any jammed paper from the paper tray or inside the machine. Open the front cover and gently pull out any stuck paper, being careful not to tear it. Make sure to check for any small pieces of paper that may be stuck inside. Once cleared, close all covers and plug the device back in.
To clean the scanner glass, turn off the device and unplug it. Open the document cover and gently wipe the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly moistened with water. Avoid using any abrasive materials or solvents. Once clean, close the document cover and plug the device back in.
To replace the toner cartridge, open the front cover and remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly. Push down the green lock lever and take the used toner cartridge out of the drum unit. Unpack the new toner cartridge and remove the protective cover. Insert the new toner cartridge into the drum unit until it clicks into place, then reinstall the assembly into the machine and close the front cover.
If your Brother IntelliFAX-2820 is printing blank pages, check that the toner cartridge is installed correctly and is not empty. Make sure the protective cover has been removed from the new toner cartridge. Additionally, verify that the drum unit is not damaged or at the end of its life. If necessary, replace the toner cartridge or drum unit.
To adjust the ring delay setting, press the Menu key on the machine, navigate to the Fax menu, and select Setup Receive. Choose Ring Delay and select the desired number of rings before the machine answers. Press OK to save the setting.
To load paper, first remove the paper tray from the machine. Fan a stack of paper to prevent sticking and insert it into the tray, ensuring that the paper guides are adjusted to fit the paper size. Reinsert the paper tray into the machine. Make sure the paper is not loaded above the maximum fill line.
To program speed dial numbers, press the Menu key, navigate to the Fax menu, and select Speed Dial. Choose a speed dial location and enter the fax number you wish to store. Press OK, then enter a name for the entry if desired. Press OK again to save the speed dial number.
To troubleshoot poor print quality, check that the toner cartridge is not empty or low. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by sliding the green tab from left to right several times. Also, ensure that the paper being used is suitable for laser printing and that the drum unit is not damaged or at the end of its life.
