To install the Vivotek AM-116 Recessed Kit, first ensure the ceiling area is clear. Use the provided template to mark the cutout area. Cut the ceiling as marked and fit the recessed kit into the opening. Secure it using the screws provided, ensuring the kit is flush with the ceiling.
You will need a drill, a screwdriver, a ceiling saw or cutter, and the installation template provided with the kit.
The Vivotek AM-116 Recessed Kit is designed for indoor use. It should not be used in environments exposed to moisture or extreme weather conditions.
Check if the power cables are properly connected. Verify the power source is active, and inspect the wiring for any visible damages or loose connections. If the problem persists, consult the Vivotek technical support.
Regularly check for dust accumulation and clean the surfaces with a dry cloth. Inspect the mounting and electrical connections periodically to ensure there's no wear or damage.
Ensure the kit is installed in a location with stable temperature and minimal humidity. Regularly clean the lens and keep the ventilation areas unobstructed.
Verify that the camera model is compatible with the AM-116. If compatible, ensure that any mounting brackets or parts are correctly aligned. Consult the installation manual for guidance.
The recessed kit is designed to dissipate heat effectively. Ensure the surrounding area is not overly confined. Additional ventilation is usually not required unless specified by the environment conditions.
Once the camera is installed, gently adjust the camera angle by rotating or tilting it within the mount. Be cautious not to apply excessive force to avoid damaging the camera or the mount.
Check the installation space to ensure it is clear of other utilities. If interference occurs, you may need to adjust the position slightly or consult a professional installer to assess the setup.
