To install the Transcend DrivePro 620 Dashcam, first attach the adhesive mount to the windshield. Connect the dashcam to the mount and route the power cable along the edge of the windshield and down to the cigarette lighter socket. Make sure the camera is positioned to capture the road ahead.
If the DrivePro 620 does not turn on, check the power connection and ensure that the car's ignition is on. Verify that the cigarette lighter socket is functioning and the power cable is properly connected. If the issue persists, try using another power source or cable.
To update the firmware, download the latest firmware file from the Transcend website and save it to a microSD card. Insert the card into the dashcam, power it on, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
Ensure that the microSD card is properly inserted and formatted. Check if the card has sufficient space and is a compatible type (Class 10 or above). If the problem continues, try using a different microSD card to determine if the issue is with the card itself.
You can access recorded videos by connecting the dashcam to a computer via USB, or by removing the microSD card and using a card reader. Alternatively, use the DrivePro App to view and download videos directly to your smartphone.
To enable Wi-Fi, press the Wi-Fi button on the dashcam. Connect your smartphone to the dashcam's Wi-Fi network using the DrivePro App. This allows you to control the dashcam and view live footage from your smartphone.
To clean the lens, use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe away dust and smudges. Avoid using liquid cleaners or paper towels, as they may damage the lens. Regular cleaning ensures clear video recordings.
To set the date and time, navigate to the settings menu on the dashcam screen. Locate the date and time settings and adjust them accordingly. Make sure to save the changes before exiting the menu.
Ensure the GPS antenna is correctly attached and the dashcam has a clear view of the sky. GPS may take a few minutes to establish a connection when first powered on. If issues persist, check for any firmware updates or reset the device.
Ensure the lens is clean and the microSD card is of high quality (Class 10 or above). Adjust the resolution settings in the menu to the highest option available. Proper positioning of the dashcam can also enhance video quality.
