To install the Transcend DrivePro 200 Dashcam, mount it on the windshield using the provided suction cup mount, ensuring the lens has a clear view of the road. Connect the power cable to the dashcam and plug it into the car's cigarette lighter socket.
Ensure the power cable is securely connected and the car charger is functioning. Check if the cigarette lighter socket provides power when the ignition is on. If problems persist, try resetting the device.
Download the latest firmware from Transcend's official website. Copy the firmware file to a formatted microSD card, insert it into the dashcam, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
Clean the lens of the dashcam to remove any dirt or smudges. Ensure the resolution settings are at optimal levels and the dashcam is securely mounted to minimize vibrations.
To format the microSD card, go to the settings menu on the dashcam, select 'Format Card', and confirm. This will erase all data on the card, so make sure to back up important files first.
Ensure the Wi-Fi feature is enabled on the dashcam and your smartphone. Restart both devices and try reconnecting. If issues persist, reset the dashcam's Wi-Fi settings to default.
You can review footage directly on the dashcam's display, or remove the microSD card and use a card reader to view files on a computer. Alternatively, use the DrivePro App to view videos on a smartphone via Wi-Fi.
This could be due to a faulty power connection or an issue with the microSD card. Check the power cable and socket connection, and try using a different microSD card formatted in the dashcam.
The DrivePro 200 is designed primarily for front usage. While it can technically be mounted facing the rear, it lacks the specialized features and wiring typically required for a dedicated rear camera.
Access the settings menu on the dashcam, navigate to the time and date option, and manually adjust them. Ensure the dashcam is getting a GPS signal, if available, for automatic updates.
