To install the Transcend DrivePro 100, attach the suction mount to the dashcam, place it on the windshield, and connect the power cord to the car’s lighter socket. Adjust the angle for optimal recording.
Check the power connection and ensure the car’s socket is functioning. Try using a different power cable if available, and ensure the memory card is correctly inserted.
Download the latest firmware from the Transcend website, transfer it to the dashcam's memory card, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
To format the memory card, navigate to the settings menu on the dashcam and select the format option. This will ensure the card is optimized for recording.
Remove the memory card from the dashcam and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer, or connect the dashcam directly via USB cable. Copy the files from the card to your computer.
Ensure the lens is clean and free of smudges. Check the focus settings and adjust the dashcam’s position to reduce glare or reflections from the windshield.
Enable loop recording in the settings. This feature allows the dashcam to overwrite the oldest files when the memory card is full, ensuring continuous recording.
Check the audio recording settings in the menu to ensure that sound recording is enabled. Also, verify that the microphone is not obstructed.
Access the settings menu, navigate to the date and time section, and manually adjust them to the current date and time. Ensure you save the settings afterward.
Regularly clean the lens and the screen, ensure the firmware is up to date, and periodically format the memory card to maintain optimal performance.
