Monitor connected devices real-time energy consumption and know which one is most power-hungry. Reduce unnecessary energy loss and lower your electric bills with the schedule and timer. Enable you to easily control your lights and household electronic devices via Kasa Smart app on your iOS or Android devices, no matter where you find yourself.

Appearance Smart Wi-Fi Plug Slim has a control button to turn on/off devices plugged in, and LED to show you the current status. For detailed information, see the explanation below:

Set Up Your Smart Wi-Fi Plug Slim Follow the steps below to set up your smart plug via Kasa Smart app.
1. Install Kasa Smart app Get the Kasa Smart app from Google Play or the App Store, or scan the QR code below to download it.
2. Log in or sign up with TP-Link ID Open the Kasa Smart app and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you dont have an account, create one first.
3. Add Device Tap the button in the Kasa Smart app, select Add a Device >Smart Plugs > Homekit Smart Plug and then follow step-by-step app instructions to complete the setup.

Set Up Using Amazon Frustration-Free Setup What is Amazon Frustration-Free Setup? Amazon Frustration-Free Setup can help connect and set up Kasa smart devices in fewer steps, without having to remember and re-enter your Wi-Fi password on each device.
To use this feature, confirm the following:
The new Kasa device supports Amazon FFS.
You have an Amazon FFS enabled Alexa device or router.
You have saved your Wi-Fi information to Amazon by using Alexa echo.
Your Kasa device and router are on the same network as your Alexa echo.

If the LED does not turn solid blue after a long time, you can press and hold the button on the right panel for about 10 seconds until the LED flashes amber rapidly to factory reset the plug. Then tap + in the Kasa Smart app and follow app instructions to add the plug manually.

How to use Amazon Frustration-Free Setup with Kasa devices
1. Open the Amazon Alexa app. Then tap More and select Skills & Games.
2. Enter Kasa in the search bar and choose TP-Link Kasa.

3. Tap the ENABLE TO USE button. 4. Enter your TP-Link ID that has bound to your Kasa device, then tap Authorize. After authorized successfully, the message Your TP-Link Kasa cccount has been successfully linked will come up.

Set Up Using Seamless Setup in the Google Home App What is Seamless Setup in the Google Home app? Seamless Setup allows you to quickly and easily set up your Kasa smart plug in the Google Home App in just a few steps - theres no need to download another app to link. And, the Google Nest device can act as a hub to connect your Kasa smart plug to the web.
To use this feature, confirm the following:
The new Kasa device supports seamless setup in the Google Home app.
You have a Google Nest or Home speaker or display. Check compatible devices at g.co/nest/assistivedevice.
Your Kasa device and router are on the same network as your Google Nest device.

How to use Seamless Setup with Kasa devices
1. Open the Google Home app. Make sure you have the most recent version. At the top left, tap Add > Set up device > New device .
2. Choose a home to set up the smart plug in and tap Next. Your Google Nest device will start to scan for nearby devices that are ready for setup. After successfully setting up your smart plug in the Google Home app, open your Kasa Smart app and it will discover the your smart plug automatically.

Set Up in the HomeKit App
1. Open the HomeKit app. Tap Add or Scan Accessory, then scan the HomeKit QR code on your plug.
2. The Plug will be added to your Home automatically. Then your Kasa Smart app will discover the device automatically. You can add it to your Kasa Smart app.

What if setup fails? When HomeKit setup fails, press and hold the power button on the right panel of the plug for about 10 seconds until the LED flashes amber rapidly to factory reset the plug. Then try setup again. Make sure you are in a spot with stable Wi-Fi signal strength.

Main Device Controls After you successfully set up your smart plug, you will see the home page of the Kasa Smart app. Here you can view and manage all devices that you've added to Kasa. Tap your smart plug to control and manage it.
Home Page
All your Kasa smart devices are listed in the Home page.
Device Status Check your device status, or turn on/off your device in the Status page.

Set Schedules Schedule: Set schedules to automatically turn on/off the plug at set times according to your daily routine.
1. Tap your smart plug in the Home page, and then tap .
2. Tap + on the top right corner. 3. Set a schedule to turn the light plugged in your smart plug on or off at set times. e.g. I want to turn off the light at 11:00 PM every day.

4. You can also choose to turn on/off the light at Sunrise or Sunset. Please note that the Sunrise and Sunset times are based on your location.
5. Tap Save and you'll see your schedule listed in the Schedule Page. You can add more schedules following the same steps.
6. You can turn off your schedule any time at the Schedule page.

Set Timer Timer: Set the countdown timer and your smart plug will automatically be turned on/off after the time ends.
2. Set the time period after which your smart plug will turn on or off automatically. Then tap START.1. Tap on the Device Status page.

Set Away Mode Away Mode: You can set Away Mode for your smart plug to turn on/off automatically at random intervals while you are away to make the appearance that someone is at home.
2. Set the start and end time during which the light will be automatically turned on and off at random intervals, and the repeating frequency. e.g. I want the light to turn on and off between 7:00 PM to 11:50 PM every Friday and Saturday.

Check Runtime Runtime: You can view and track the runtime of your smart plug.

Manage Device Settings You can change the device settings.
1. Tap in the Device Status page.
2. You can view Device Info and change the name and icon of your smart plug.
3. Tap Add to Home and the follow app instructions to add your device to the Home app.

Reset Your Smart Plug There are three ways to reset your smart plug.
Method 1
Swipe left your smart plug in the Home page, then tap Delete.

Method 2
1. Tap in the Status page.
2. Tap Remove Device in the bottom.

Method 3
Press and hold the button on the right panel for about 10 seconds until the LED flashes amber rapidly to factory reset the plug. Press and hold the button on the right panel for about 5 seconds until the LED flashes amber and blue alternately to reset Wi-Fi while keeping previous settings.

Create Scenes A scene is a preset group of smart devices that can be programmed, customized and activated simultaneously at the touch of a button from your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to easily set your mood, activity or fit any special occasion. This page allows you to preset how your smart home devices should act automatically at special occasions.
1. Tap at the bottom, then tap + at the top right corner.
2. Select a scene or create your own scene. e.g. I want to turn on living room light and the air conditioner simultaneously with just a tap in the Kasa Smart app .
3. Select devices for the scene to work on and set their status respectively.

4. Pick an icon for your scene. 5. Name your scene. 6. Your scene is created and is displayed in the scene list. Just tap the scene to activate it.

Smart Actions Smart Actions is a function provided that enables device interconnections and home automations. With Smart Actions, your Kasa devices can work together to create a smarter smart home. From the moment you wake up to the moment you drift asleep, Smart Actions make your home safer and more comfortable.
1. Tap at the bottom, then tap Add an Action.
2. Select an automation type for your Smart Actions.
Motion Sensing: Take actions when a Kasa camera senses a motion. Control With a Switch: Extend the Smart Switch control to other Kasa Smart devices. Turn on/ off a group of devices with the Smart Switch all together. Schedule a Scene: Schedule a Scene to be turned on automatically at the time specified. Auto-off Timer: Whenever a Smart device is turned on, turn it off after the designated amount of time.

1. Tap Motion Sensing then select a camera. 2. Select your smart plug which your living room light is plugged in.
1. Configure Motion Sensing If you already have a Kasa Smart Camera e.g.: I want to turn the living room light on when my Kasa camera senses a motion.

3. Set the time when you want to be notified. You can choose Always or tap Custom to choose time according to your needs.
For example: I want the motion to trigger the light on from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM every day.

4. (Optional) Set an auto-off timer then tap Complete. Then your living room light will be turned off after the time you set.

e.g. I want to turn on my Good Morning scene, which turns on my bedroom and kitched light with just a tap, at 7: 20 AM every weekday.

3. Configure Schedule a Scene e.g.: I want to turn on the scene I have created automatically at scheduled time.

Discover Kasa Use the Kasa Smart app to pair your Smart Wi-Fi Power Strip with Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant, and enjoy a full hands-free experience. Kasa helps manage the rest of your smart home too, working with Samsung SmartThings to trigger changes when you arrive home or leave for the day. Launch the Kasa Smart app. Go to the sidebar and tap Work with Kasa. You can choose Amazon Alexa / Google Assistant / IFTTT / Samsung SmartThings for detailed instructions.
