To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the choke is engaged, and the start key is inserted. Pull the starter handle gently until you feel resistance, then pull quickly to start the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
To use SmartStow, empty the fuel tank, clean the mower, and fold the handle. Then gently lift the mower to stand it on its rear wheels for vertical storage.
It's recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then annually or every 50 hours of operation, whichever comes first.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Disconnect the spark plug, tip the mower on its side, and remove the blade. Use a file or bench grinder to sharpen the blade evenly. Reinstall the blade and ensure it's securely fastened.
Clean the mower, change the oil, empty the fuel tank, and check for worn or damaged parts. Store the mower in a dry place using the SmartStow feature.
To adjust the cutting height, use the lever located on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position to set the height from 1 to 4 inches.
Ensure the blade is sharp and properly installed, check for clogging in the deck, and make sure the grass is dry when mowing.
Disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower on its side, and use a hose or scraper to remove grass buildup. Make sure to dry the deck thoroughly to prevent rust.
