To start the Toro Power Clear 821R-C 38755, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke to full, and pull the recoil starter handle briskly. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke to the off position.
If the snow thrower does not start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify the choke is set properly. If these are correct, inspect the spark plug for fouling and clean or replace it if necessary.
It is recommended to change the oil every 25 hours of operation or at least once a season. Use SAE 5W-30 oil for best performance.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Regularly inspect the auger and impeller for wear and damage. Replace any damaged components and lubricate the auger shaft at the beginning and end of each season.
Excessive vibration may be caused by debris lodged in the auger or impeller. Stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug, and clear any debris. Also, inspect for damaged or unbalanced parts.
To adjust the scraper bar, loosen the bolts on each side, move the scraper bar to the desired position, and retighten the bolts. The scraper bar should make light contact with the ground.
Check if the chute is clogged and clear any debris. Ensure the auger is rotating correctly and the drive belt is not slipping. Replace the belt if it is worn out.
Drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and clean the machine thoroughly. Store it in a dry, protected area with the engine covered to prevent dust accumulation.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a spark plug wrench, and install a new spark plug (NGK BPMR4A) by hand. Tighten it with the wrench and reconnect the spark plug wire.
