To start the mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the spark plug is connected, and the start key is inserted. Then, pull the starter rope firmly.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
Ensure the mower is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Then, tilt the mower on its side and use a hose to rinse off grass clippings. Scrape off any stuck debris with a plastic scraper.
Check the blade for sharpness and replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the deck is clean and that you are not mowing wet grass.
Replace the air filter once a year or more frequently if you operate in dusty conditions.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade or debris stuck in the mower deck. Check the blade balance and clean the deck if necessary.
To adjust the cutting height, move the height adjustment levers located on each wheel to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Check for fuel, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. If the problem persists, check the starter rope and key for issues.
Empty the fuel tank, remove the battery (if applicable), clean the deck and blade, and store the mower in a dry place. Consider using a fuel stabilizer.
Sharpen the blade at least once per mowing season or more frequently if you notice a decrease in cutting performance. Ensure the blade is balanced after sharpening.
