To update the maps, connect your device to a computer using a USB cable. Open TomTom HOME software, log in, and follow the prompts to download and install the latest maps. Ensure you have enough storage space and a stable internet connection during the update process.
Ensure the device is charged. Connect it to a power source and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. If it still doesn't turn on, perform a soft reset by pressing the reset button (if available) or consult the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.
To reset the device to factory settings, navigate to the Main Menu, select 'Settings', and then 'System'. Choose 'Reset factory settings' and confirm your selection. Note that this will erase all personal data and settings.
Ensure the device has a clear view of the sky, as buildings and weather conditions can interfere with GPS signals. If the issue persists, check for software updates or perform a soft reset.

Use the 'Map Share' feature on your device to report map errors. Go to the map, select the location of the error, and choose 'Report map error'. Follow the prompts to submit the error report.
From the Main Menu, select 'Settings', then 'Route Planning'. Here, you can customize preferences such as fastest route, shortest route, and avoid toll roads or highways. Save your changes before exiting.
