To check the battery level, press the button at 4 o'clock and observe the second hand. If it moves to 30 seconds, the battery is fully charged. If it points at 15 seconds, it’s medium, and if it points at 45 seconds, charging is needed.
To synchronize time using GPS, press and hold the button at 2 o'clock until the second hand points to the "Y" on the dial. Release the button and wait for the synchronization to complete.
The Seiko Astron requires minimal maintenance. Ensure it is regularly exposed to light to keep it charged. Clean the watch with a soft cloth and avoid exposure to chemicals or extreme temperatures.
To reset the watch, pull the crown to the second click and press both buttons at 2 and 4 o'clock simultaneously until the second hand completes a full rotation. Push the crown back in to finish.
If the watch is running fast or slow, ensure that it receives a strong GPS signal for accurate synchronization. If the issue persists, consider taking it to a certified service center for inspection.
The Seiko Astron 8X53 is water-resistant up to 100 meters. Avoid pressing the buttons underwater, and ensure the crown is pushed in to prevent water ingress.
The Seiko Astron 8X53 is solar-powered and does not have a replaceable battery. Ensure regular exposure to light to keep it charged.
