To set the time, pull the crown out to the second click position. Turn the crown to set the desired time, making sure the hands are properly aligned. Push the crown back to the normal position once the time is set.
If your watch stops, it may need to be recharged. Wear the watch for a full day to see if it starts working. If not, manually swing the watch back and forth about 200 times to build up power.
To check the power reserve, press the button at the 2 o'clock position. The second hand will move forward and indicate the power reserve level. One second represents one day of power.
If the second hand skips, it indicates a low power reserve. Recharge the watch by wearing it or manually swinging it to build up power.
The Seiko 3M62 Kinetic Watch does not use a traditional battery but instead has a capacitor. If the capacitor fails, it should be replaced by an authorized Seiko service center.
To maintain water resistance, ensure the crown is always pushed in and the case back is secure. Have the watch tested for water resistance at least once a year.
The capacitor can last anywhere from 8 to 10 years, depending on usage and storage conditions. Replacement should be done by a professional when necessary.
If your watch is rated for water resistance, it is generally safe to wear while swimming. However, avoid pressing any buttons or using the crown while underwater.
It is recommended to have the watch serviced every 3 to 5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
For minor scratches, a professional polishing may suffice. For deeper scratches, consider having the glass replaced by an authorized Seiko service center.
