Samsung RFG238A Quick Start Guide

To reset the filter indicator, press and hold the 'Ice Type' and 'Child Lock' buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off.
Check if the vents inside the refrigerator are blocked by food items. Ensure that the temperature settings are correct and that the door seals are clean and not damaged.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils every 6 months to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
Unusual noises can occur due to the refrigerator being unlevel, items inside being improperly placed, or the compressor starting or stopping. Ensure the refrigerator is level and nothing inside is vibrating against other items.
Press and hold the 'Fridge' button for about 3 seconds to activate the Power Cool feature, which quickly lowers the refrigerator's temperature.
To defrost, remove all food and unplug the refrigerator. Leave the doors open to allow the ice to melt naturally. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging it back in.
Locate the water filter in the lower right corner of the refrigerator. Turn it counterclockwise to remove. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it locks in place. Then, reset the filter indicator.
Water leaks can be caused by a clogged defrost drain, improper installation of the water filter, or issues with the water line connections. Inspect these areas and clear or tighten as necessary.
Use the control panel to adjust the temperature. Press the 'Fridge' or 'Freezer' button to cycle through the available temperature settings until you reach the desired level.
Regularly clean the condenser coils, check door seals for integrity, replace the water filter every 6 months, and ensure proper airflow around the refrigerator by keeping vents clear.
