To change the water filter, locate the filter in the refrigerator's upper right corner. Turn it 90 degrees counterclockwise and pull it out. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it locks in place. Ensure to run water through the dispenser for about 5 minutes to clear any air or impurities.
If your refrigerator is not cooling, first check the temperature settings to ensure they are correct. Make sure the vents are not blocked by food items. Clean the condenser coils, and ensure the door seals are clean and airtight. If the problem persists, contact Samsung support for further assistance.
To reset the ice maker, locate the reset button on the ice maker itself. Press and hold the button for about 10 seconds until you hear a chime. This indicates the ice maker has been reset. Allow 24 hours for the ice production to resume.
Loud noises can be due to ice buildup or the fan hitting something inside the fridge. Defrost the refrigerator if you notice ice buildup. Ensure that nothing is obstructing the fan. If the noise continues, it could be a faulty motor or compressor, which might require professional repair.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils every 6 months. This helps in maintaining efficient cooling performance and prolongs the lifespan of the appliance.
Organize your refrigerator by storing raw meats on the bottom shelf to prevent drips, dairy and eggs on the middle shelves, and leftovers and ready-to-eat foods on the top shelf. Use the crisper drawers for fruits and vegetables. Adjust shelves to accommodate taller items as needed.
To activate Power Cool, press and hold the Power Cool button on the control panel. This feature rapidly lowers the refrigerator's temperature, which is useful for quickly chilling items. The feature will automatically deactivate after a few hours.
First, check if the water supply line is connected and turned on. Ensure the water filter is correctly installed. If the dispenser is still not working, check for any kinks in the water line or contact Samsung support for assistance.
To lock the control panel, press and hold the Child Lock button for 3 seconds. This will prevent accidental changes to the settings. To unlock, press and hold the same button again for 3 seconds.
Frost buildup can occur due to a faulty door seal or if the freezer door is left open frequently. Check the door seal for any damage or debris and ensure it closes securely. If the problem persists, consider defrosting the freezer and contacting support if necessary.
