To perform a soft reset, press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds until the device restarts.
To take a screenshot, press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time until you see the screen flash.
First, check the charging cable and adapter for any damage. Try using a different charger. If the problem persists, clean the charging port and restart the device.
