To install the Nextbase Ride, first attach the mounting bracket to your motorcycle's handlebars using the provided screws. Then, slide the camera onto the bracket until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened before riding.
If your Nextbase Ride is not turning on, check if the battery is charged. Connect it to a power source using the supplied USB cable and charger. If it still doesn't turn on, try resetting the device by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.
To update the firmware, download the latest firmware file from the Nextbase website onto a microSD card. Insert the card into the camera and turn it on. The camera will automatically detect and install the update.
Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe the lens. For stubborn dirt, apply a small amount of lens cleaner to the cloth (not directly on the lens) and wipe gently. Avoid using abrasive materials.
Ensure the microSD card is properly inserted and formatted in the camera. Check the card’s capacity and speed class to meet the camera's requirements. Regularly back up your recordings to prevent data loss.
Blurry footage can be due to a dirty lens or incorrect focus settings. Clean the lens and check the focus settings in the camera menu. Also, ensure the camera is mounted securely to minimize vibrations.
Connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable, or remove the microSD card and use a card reader. Open the file explorer on your computer to access and transfer the video files.
Ensure the camera has a clear view of the sky and is not obstructed by metal objects. Restart the camera and check for any firmware updates that may address GPS issues.
To extend battery life, reduce the screen brightness, disable unnecessary features, and ensure the camera is turned off when not in use. Consider carrying a portable charger for longer rides.
The Nextbase Ride supports microSD cards up to 128GB. It is recommended to use a high-speed card (Class 10 or UHS-I) to ensure smooth recording and playback of video footage.
