To perform a factory reset on the KORG TRITON, press and hold the 'Enter' and '0' buttons while turning on the keyboard. Follow the prompts on the display to complete the reset process.
First, ensure that the power cable is securely connected. Check the power source and try a different outlet. If the issue persists, inspect the internal connections and consider consulting a professional technician.
Download the latest OS update from the KORG website. Transfer the update to a formatted floppy disk. Insert the disk into the TRITON's drive and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Gently wipe the keys, being careful not to let any liquid seep between them. Dry the keys with a clean cloth.
Connect a MIDI cable from the TRITON's MIDI OUT port to the computer's MIDI IN port, or use a USB-MIDI interface. Ensure that your DAW is set to receive MIDI input from the connected port.
Check the volume settings and ensure that headphones or speakers are properly connected. Verify that the correct sound program is selected and that mute is not activated.
Press the 'Write' button, select a bank and location to save your patch, and confirm your choice. Make sure to save your work regularly to avoid losing any custom settings.
To replace the floppy disk drive, remove the screws securing the drive, disconnect the cables, and install the new drive by reversing the removal process. Ensure all connections are secure before turning the unit back on.
Carefully clean around the affected keys using compressed air to remove debris. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician to inspect and repair the keybed mechanism.
Enter the 'Combination' mode, select a combination, and assign different timbres to desired key zones using the 'Split' function. Adjust the split points according to your preference.
