To calibrate the KORG Pitchblack Poly for different tunings, press and hold the CALIB button until the calibration display appears. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the desired reference pitch (from 436Hz to 445Hz). Release the CALIB button to save the setting.
First, check if the pedal is connected to a power source via the DC input. Ensure the power adapter is functioning correctly. If using batteries, ensure they are properly inserted and have sufficient charge. If the issue persists, try a different power supply.
To tune all strings at once, play all the open strings simultaneously. The Pitchblack Poly will display the tuning status of each string, indicating which are in tune and which need adjustment. Adjust each string accordingly until all are in tune.
Press the DISPLAY button to cycle through the different display modes: Full Strobe, Half Strobe, Meter, and Mirror. Each press will switch to the next mode. Choose the mode that best suits your preference.
To perform a factory reset, simultaneously hold down the DISPLAY and CALIB buttons while powering on the tuner. Release the buttons once the display shows that the reset is complete.
Inconsistent tuning results may be due to low battery power, interference from electronic devices, or incorrect instrument setup. Ensure fresh batteries or a stable power supply is used, minimize nearby electronic interference, and check that the instrument is properly intonated.
Yes, the Pitchblack Poly can be used with both guitar and bass. It automatically detects the pitch range and adjusts accordingly, allowing it to accurately tune both types of instruments.
The Pitchblack Poly automatically mutes the output signal when you activate the tuning function by stepping on the footswitch. This allows you to tune silently without the output signal being heard.
Ensure that your instrument's volume is turned up and that you are using the front pickup if using an electric guitar or bass. Also, check for any cable issues and try reducing background noise or interference.
To extend battery life, turn off the tuner when not in use, and avoid leaving it powered on for extended periods. Use high-quality alkaline batteries, and consider using an AC adapter for prolonged use to preserve battery life.
