To calibrate the KORG GA-40, press the 'CALIB' button to adjust the reference pitch. Use the up and down arrows to set the calibration between 410 Hz and 480 Hz.
First, check the batteries to ensure they are installed correctly and have sufficient charge. If using an AC adapter, make sure it is connected properly.
Press the 'MODE' button to toggle between guitar and bass tuning modes. The display will indicate the selected mode with a 'G' or 'B' symbol.
To maintain your GA-40, keep it in a dry place, avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, and clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Remove batteries if not in use for extended periods.
Display fluctuation can be caused by background noise or interference. Ensure you are in a quiet environment and check the input jack for a secure connection.
For improved accuracy, ensure the instrument is properly connected, minimize background noise, and calibrate the tuner if necessary.
The GA-40 is primarily designed for guitar and bass, but it can also be used to tune other string instruments, provided they fall within the detectable pitch range of the tuner.
The 'SOUND' button allows you to play a reference pitch through the speaker, which can be used for tuning by ear.
To replace the batteries, open the battery compartment on the back of the tuner, remove the old batteries, and insert new AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity.
Ensure the instrument is properly connected and the correct mode is selected. If the issue persists, recalibrate the tuner or replace the batteries.
