To reset your Kenmore 13383 dishwasher, press the "Heated Dry" button followed by "Normal Wash." Repeat this sequence one more time. All lights will illuminate, and the dishwasher will reset.
Check for obstructions in the drain hose and garbage disposal. Ensure that the air gap is clean and free of debris. If the problem persists, inspect the drain pump for blockages.
Remove the bottom rack and locate the filter at the base of the dishwasher. Twist to unlock the filter and lift it out. Rinse it under running water to remove debris before reinserting it.
Use high-quality automatic dishwasher detergent in either liquid or powder form. Avoid using detergent intended for hand washing dishes, as it can cause excessive suds.
Spots on dishes can be caused by hard water. Use a rinse aid to help prevent water spots and ensure the water softener is functioning correctly if your model has one.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 1 to 3 months. This includes cleaning the filter, checking spray arms for clogs, and wiping down the gasket.
Noises can result from dishes or utensils touching the spray arms, or a faulty pump or motor. Ensure that dishes are properly loaded and inspect the spray arms for obstructions.
Ensure that the "Heated Dry" option is selected. Using a rinse aid can also enhance drying performance by reducing surface tension.
Inspect the door latch for any visible damage or obstructions. Make sure the dishwasher is level, as an uneven appliance can prevent the door from closing properly.
Check if the dishwasher is properly plugged in and if the door is fully closed and latched. Verify that the circuit breaker is not tripped and that the water supply is turned on.
