To clean the Hotpoint HR 651 CH Hob, ensure it is switched off and cool. Use a soft damp cloth with mild detergent, then wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scourers to prevent damage.
If the hob is not heating, check if it is properly plugged in and switched on. Ensure the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. If the problem persists, contact Hotpoint customer service for further assistance.
It is recommended to use flat-bottomed cookware made of materials such as stainless steel or cast iron for optimal performance. Avoid using glass, ceramic, or copper-bottomed pots.
To lock the hob, press and hold the lock button for a few seconds until the indicator light turns on. This feature prevents accidental activation of the cooking zones.
A clicking noise is normal as it indicates the hob is adjusting the temperature. If the noise is continuous or concerning, ensure the cookware is suitable and properly placed.
Adjust the power settings by selecting the cooking zone and using the '+' or '-' buttons to increase or decrease the heat level. Refer to the manual for specific power levels and their uses.
Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Check if the lock function is enabled. If the controls remain unresponsive, power off the hob and restart. If the issue persists, contact support.
To reset the hob, turn off the main power supply for a few minutes and then reconnect. This can resolve minor software glitches.
The residual heat indicator stays on to warn that the surface is still hot. It will turn off once the hob cools to a safe temperature.
Select the desired cooking zone, press the timer button, and use the '+' or '-' to set the time duration. The hob will automatically turn off the zone once the timer expires.
