To load paper, open the paper support and pull out the paper output tray. Align the paper guides to the edges of the paper and insert it print side up. Adjust the guides so they touch the edges of the paper lightly.
First, check that the printer is turned on and connected to your computer. Verify that there is paper in the tray and that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Run the printer's self-test to ensure functionality. If issues persist, reinstall the printer drivers.
To clean the print heads, access the printer's software and navigate to the maintenance section. Select 'Clean Print Heads' and follow the on-screen instructions. You may need to repeat the process for optimal results.
The Canon BJC-85 is compatible with plain paper, high-resolution paper, glossy photo paper, and envelopes. Ensure that the paper type is selected correctly in your print settings for optimal results.
To replace the ink cartridges, open the printer cover and wait for the cartridge holder to move to the center. Remove the empty cartridge by pressing the release lever. Insert the new cartridge and press until it clicks into place. Close the cover after replacement.
Faint or streaked printouts may be due to clogged print heads or low ink levels. Run a print head cleaning cycle and check ink levels. Replace the cartridges if necessary and try printing again.
To clear a paper jam, turn off the printer and carefully remove any jammed paper from the paper path. Ensure there are no torn pieces left inside. Reload the paper correctly and turn the printer back on.
Regularly clean the printer exterior and paper feed rollers. Perform print head cleaning if print quality declines. Use the printer frequently to prevent ink from drying in the nozzles. Store the printer with the power off and cover it when not in use.
Connect the Canon BJC-85 to your laptop using a USB cable. Ensure the printer is powered on. Install the necessary drivers from the Canon website or the provided installation CD. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Unusual noises may indicate a mechanical issue or paper jam. Turn off the printer and inspect for any obstructions. Check the alignment of the paper and ensure all components are properly seated. If the noise persists, consult the service manual or contact Canon support.
