To perform a hard reset, press and hold the Refresh button and then tap the Power button. Release both buttons when the Chromebook begins to restart.
Ensure the Chromebook is charged, then try performing a hard reset. If the issue persists, check the power adapter and try a different outlet.
Click on the network icon in the bottom right corner, select your Wi-Fi network, and enter the password if prompted.
Open the Settings menu, go to About Chrome OS, and click Check for Updates. If an update is available, it will automatically download and install.
To enable Developer Mode, press Esc + Refresh + Power, then press Ctrl + D and follow the on-screen instructions. Be aware that enabling Developer Mode will erase all data on the device.
Press Ctrl + the Show Windows key (a rectangle with two lines) to capture the entire screen. For a partial screenshot, press Ctrl + Shift + Show Windows, then click and drag to select the area you want to capture.
Sign out of your account, then press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R. Click Restart, then select Powerwash and follow the on-screen instructions to reset the device.
Reduce screen brightness, close unused apps and tabs, disable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use, and enable battery saver mode.
Check for open tabs and apps and close any that are not in use. Clear browsing data and cache, and consider restarting the device to improve performance.
Use an HDMI cable to connect the Chromebook to the external display. Then, press the Ctrl + Display key to adjust display settings or extend the desktop.
