To set the temperature, locate the temperature control dial inside the refrigerator compartment. Turn the dial to the desired setting. The lower the number, the warmer the temperature; the higher the number, the colder the temperature.
First, check the thermostat setting to ensure it is set correctly. Ensure the refrigerator is plugged in and the door seals are not damaged. If these are fine, clean the condenser coils and ensure there is enough space around the unit for proper airflow.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils every six months to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Ice build-up can be caused by a faulty door seal that allows warm air to enter, or by setting the temperature too low. Make sure the door closes completely and check the seal for any damage.
Keep the refrigerator clean by wiping spills immediately. Store food in airtight containers and use baking soda or activated charcoal to absorb odors. Regularly check for expired items and remove them.
Noises can be due to the refrigerator being unlevel, items inside vibrating, or the compressor and fans operating. Ensure the refrigerator is on a level surface and items are not touching the walls.
To defrost the freezer, remove all food and unplug the refrigerator. Leave the freezer door open to allow the ice to melt. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging it back in.
Store raw meat on the bottom shelf to prevent cross-contamination. Keep fruits and vegetables in the crisper drawers. Arrange items so air can circulate freely.
To change the light bulb, unplug the refrigerator and locate the bulb cover inside. Remove the cover, unscrew the old bulb, and replace it with a new one of the same type and wattage.
The door may not close properly due to a misaligned door gasket, items blocking the door, or the refrigerator not being level. Check for obstructions, ensure the gasket is clean and correctly seated, and adjust leveling if necessary.
