To turn on the Thomson IKMT610SI hob, ensure it is connected to power. Touch the power button on the control panel, then select the desired cooking zone and set the power level using the +/- sensors.
If the hob does not heat up, check that it is securely plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the correct cooking zone is activated and set a power level. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
To clean the hob surface, wait until it cools down, then use a damp cloth with a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to prevent scratching the glass surface.
The error code 'E2' indicates overheating. Allow the hob to cool down and ensure there is adequate ventilation. Restart the hob to reset the error code.
The Thomson IKMT610SI hob is compatible with cookware that is induction-ready. This includes ferrous metal pots and pans. Use a magnet to check if your cookware is suitable for induction cooking.
To lock the hob controls, press and hold the lock button until the indicator light turns on. This will prevent any changes to the settings until the controls are unlocked.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the hob surface after each use, checking for any signs of damage or wear, and ensuring the ventilation openings are not blocked.
Some noise is normal during operation, such as a humming sound from the induction coils. However, if you hear unusual or loud noises, check the cookware and ensure it is flat and compatible.
To set a timer, select the cooking zone, then press the timer button and use the +/- sensors to adjust the desired time. The hob will automatically turn off the zone when the timer ends.
Ensure the control panel is clean and dry. If the controls are still unresponsive, try resetting the hob by turning it off and on again. If the issue continues, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
