To calibrate the scale, first ensure it's on a flat surface. Press the 'CAL' button, then place the calibration weight on the scale when prompted. Wait for the display to show 'PASS' before removing the weight.
If 'ERR' appears, it typically indicates an overload or an improperly placed item. Remove any excess weight and ensure the item is centered on the platform.
Press the 'UNIT' button to toggle between grams, ounces, pounds, and kilograms. The current unit will be displayed on the screen.
Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. If using an AC adapter, ensure it is properly connected.
Clean the weighing platform with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Regularly check for any loose screws or parts and ensure the scale is stored in a dry location.
It is not recommended to use the scale on carpet as it may lead to inaccurate measurements. Always place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
The maximum weight capacity is 14 kilograms (approximately 30.86 pounds). Exceeding this limit may damage the scale.
Turn off the scale, then press and hold the 'TARE' button while turning it back on. Release the button when the display shows 'rSET'.
Inconsistent readings can result from an unstable surface or environmental factors like vibrations. Ensure the scale is on a solid surface and away from any disturbances.
Check the battery compartment for any corrosion or loose connections. Replace batteries if necessary and ensure the display is free from moisture or dirt.
