To assemble the Shark ST220 Mop, attach the handle by aligning it with the main body and sliding it in until it clicks. Then, attach the mop head by aligning it with the steam nozzle and securing it with the provided clips.
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water in your Shark ST220 Mop to prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance.
If your Shark ST220 Mop is not producing steam, ensure it is plugged in and the power light is on. Check the water tank to ensure it is filled and properly seated. Clean the steam nozzle with a descaling solution if blockages are suspected.
Microfiber pads should be cleaned after each use. Wash them with warm water and a mild detergent, then air dry to maintain their effectiveness.
The Shark ST220 Mop is suitable for most sealed hard floors, including tile, stone, and sealed wood. Avoid using on unsealed floors and always test a small area first.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the microfiber pads, checking the steam nozzle for blockages, and occasionally descaling the unit with a vinegar solution to prevent mineral buildup.
To extend the lifespan of your Shark ST220 Mop, use distilled water, clean the pads regularly, and store the unit in a dry place. Avoid leaving water in the tank when not in use.
If streaks appear, ensure the microfiber pad is clean and not overly saturated. Using distilled water can also help prevent streaks caused by mineral deposits.
The Shark ST220 Mop is ready to use when the power light is on and steam begins to emit from the nozzle, typically within 30 seconds of turning it on.
After use, unplug the mop and allow it to cool. Empty any remaining water from the tank and remove the microfiber pad for washing. Store the mop in a dry place.
