Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry. Use the provided template to mark the holes, drill them, and secure the mount using the recommended bolts and sealant to prevent water ingress.
You will need a drill, a set of drill bits, a screwdriver, a wrench, and a sealant suitable for marine use.
Check if the mount is level and securely fastened. Adjust the angle by loosening the bolts, repositioning the mount, and then retightening the bolts.
Regularly inspect for corrosion or wear, clean with fresh water to remove salt deposits, and apply a protective lubricant to all moving parts.
The LMM-1 is versatile and compatible with most marine electronics. Always check the weight and size specifications to ensure compatibility.
Clean the rusted area with a marine-grade rust remover, rinse thoroughly, and apply a protective coating or paint to prevent further corrosion.
Loosen the adjustment bolts slightly, reposition the mount to the desired angle, then retighten the bolts securely to maintain the new position.
While not necessary, removing and storing the mount can prevent exposure to harsh weather conditions, extending its lifespan.
Signs include excessive corrosion, structural damage, or instability that cannot be corrected with adjustments or maintenance.
Regularly check all bolts and fasteners for tightness, and inspect the mount for any signs of wear or damage prior to embarking on trips.
