To ignite the Realflame C9812LP, ensure the gas supply is connected and turned on. Open the control panel, press and hold the ignition button while turning the control knob to the 'ignite' position. Hold for 10-15 seconds until the pilot light ignites. Release the button and adjust to desired flame height.
If the flame goes out, turn the control knob to the 'off' position and wait at least 5 minutes to allow any gas to dissipate before attempting to relight. Check for obstructions in the burner or pilot assembly and ensure the gas supply is stable.
It is recommended to clean the burner and pilot assembly of the Realflame C9812LP at least once a year. Regular cleaning prevents blockages and ensures efficient operation. Use a soft brush to remove any debris or dirt.
The Realflame C9812LP is designed for outdoor use only. Using it indoors can pose a risk of carbon monoxide buildup and is not safe. Always ensure adequate ventilation when using outdoors.
The Realflame C9812LP is designed to be used with liquid propane (LP) gas. Ensure the gas tank is compatible and properly connected before use.
If experiencing low flame issues, check the gas supply and ensure the tank is not empty. Inspect the regulator and hose for any damage or leaks. Clean the burner ports to remove any blockages that might be affecting gas flow.
Before storing the Realflame C9812LP for winter, disconnect and remove the propane tank. Clean all surfaces and components to remove debris. Store the unit in a dry, sheltered area to protect it from the elements.
To check for gas leaks, apply a soap and water solution to the gas connections. Turn on the gas supply and watch for bubbles. If bubbles form, there is a leak, and the connection should be tightened or repaired before use.
If you smell gas, immediately turn off the gas supply and extinguish any open flames. Do not operate electrical switches. Check for leaks and ensure all connections are secure before attempting to use the unit again.
Covering the Realflame C9812LP when not in use is recommended to protect it from dust, debris, and weather conditions. Use a weather-resistant cover designed for the unit to ensure proper fit and protection.
